As part of this masterclass in opera singing led by Nicola Beller Carbone, students in Marie-Anne Losco's singing class will present the fruits of their labor in a concert directed by Nicola Beller Carbone, with the participation of student instrumentalists.

Biography | Nicola BELLER CARBONE
Born in Germany and raised in Spain, soprano Nicola Beller Carbone studied at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Chant in Madrid, before perfecting her vocal skills with Astrid Varnay. She then joined the Munich Opera Studio, where she sang such roles as Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Tatiana (Eugène Onéguine), Mimì (La Bohème) and Liù (Turandot).
Recognized for the breadth of her repertoire, she tackles the great roles of the Italian, German and contemporary repertoires, as well as zarzuela. She has performed the title roles in Tosca, Salome, Francesca da Rimini and The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein. Her career has been particularly marked by the works of Richard Wagner (Sieglinde, Kundry, Gutrune, Freia), Richard Strauss (Chrysothémis, la Maréchale, la Teinturière) and major 20th-century roles: Katerina Ismaïlova (Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk), Marie (Wozzeck), Marietta (La Ville morte), Elle (La Voix humaine) and Madame de Croissy (Dialogues des carmélites).
She performs on numerous international stages - Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Brussels, Zurich, Naples, Monte-Carlo, Toronto, Buenos Aires and Beijing - as well as at the festivals of Macerata, Brégence and the Chorégies d'Orange.
Recent engagements include Arnold Schönberg's Die Jakobsleiter at the Berlin Philharmonie, the role of Frau von Luber in Kurt Weill's Le Lac d'argent in Nancy, and the staging of João Guilherme Ripper's Domitila at Madrid's Teatro de la Zarzuela.
At Opéra de Lyon, she has played Rosalinde in La Chauve-Souris, Yü-Pei in Le Cercle de craie and Sylvie Meyer in Otages by Sebastian Rivas.
