Lucien BASDEVANT

Lucien Basdevant is a composer of electroacoustic and techno music, as well as a sound engineer specializing in mastering.

He began his studies in electroacoustic composition in Lucie Prod’homme’s class at the CRR de Perpignan, before continuing and completing them under the guidance of François Roux at the CNSMD de Lyon.

His work revolves around research into sound material, where attention to detail meets a desire to create points of convergence between the languages of electroacoustic music and techno. This approach leads him to explore different forms of composition, sound production, and spatialization.

His artistic practice also extends to visual media. He creates the videos for his pieces, developing 3D imagery through programming or producing his own footage. An important part of this work focuses on the transformations taking place in his region of origin, Northern Catalonia, particularly through the ecological and wine-growing crises affecting the area.
