📍 ACADEMIE RAINIER III
1, Bd Albert 1er | 98000 Monaco
This event is organized by the Festival du Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo
This event dedicated to violin making and stringed instruments brings together three Rainier III Academy teachers: Frédéric Audibert, cello teacher, Roberto Masini, violin making teacher, and Louis-Denis Ott, violin teacher. Together, they offer a lively encounter on the understanding and care of stringed instruments, conceived as a guide to best practices for maintaining a good relationship with one's instrument.
The main aim is to help you get to know your own instrument better, and understand the importance of tuning: bridge position, and the position of the soul, which determines tonal balance. Through practical, accessible advice, the teachers will show how the right settings directly influence playing comfort and sound quality.
A live demonstration will also highlight the luthier's essential role in instrument construction and adjustment. The aim of the event is to raise musicians' awareness of the crucial relationship between them and their instrument, and to provide them with the knowledge they need to care for it right from the start of their musical career.
Free event - reservation required
