Festival Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo | 2025

In 2025, the festival celebrates the centenary of Pierre Boulez, a leading figure in contemporary music. Concerts, screenings and performances will explore his innovative work and global influence. The festival also highlights the artistic link between Boulez and the painter Francis Bacon. Six paintings by Bacon, created at the time of their meeting in Paris, illustrate the themes of human fragility and time, while reflecting the exchanges between music and painting. This dialogue between two geniuses of the XXᵉ century offers a unique immersion in their artistic universe.

As part of the collaboration with the Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo Festival,

Académie Rainier III was honored to welcome Bruno Mantovani, Artistic Director of the Festival Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo, who came to present the program of this cultural event to teachers and students.

"I had the good fortune to get to know this monument to the history of music, to share the stage with him, but also to exchange views on the most superficial as well as the most personal subjects, around a table or in an airport lobby, in Milan or Chicago. He became a faithful friend. Friendship was no light matter for this modest man, more at ease in combat and adversity than in the face of expressions of admiration to which he didn't always know how to respond. For him, friendship was a stainless, definitive value.
