From February 3 to 6, a week dedicated to the voice will be held, punctuated by a lyric singing masterclass led by soprano Claudia Visca.

On this occasion, selected students in Marie-Anne Losco 's class will have the opportunity to benefit from her recognized expertise, her high artistic standards and her singular vision of interpretation.

The week's work will culminate in a public presentation on Friday February 6 at 6pm, during which the participants will share the fruits of their labor with Emmanuelle Jaspart, at the piano.

 

Claudia Visca,

New York-born soprano Claudia Visca graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, and continued her training at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna with Ks. Hilde Rossel-Majdan and Anton Dermota. She has collaborated with many renowned conductors, directors and artists, including Leonard Bernstein - under whose direction she played Maria in West Side Story, one of the highlights of her career.

In the course of her long career on stage, Claudia Visca has been invited to more than 25 European opera houses, including those in Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, Geneva, Vienna and Zurich. She has appeared in over 2,000 performances and over 75 roles in operas, operettas and musicals, as well as in concerts.

Professor of singing at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne from 1998 to 2003, she has since taught at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She has also given masterclasses in numerous countries in Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA.
