Recital by pianist Jean-Baptiste FONLUPT as part of a masterclass for students in the piano department.
Jean-Baptiste FONLUPT,
Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt's piano criss-crosses all regions and genres, from Baroque to contemporary music. A glance at his concerts around the world reveals the portrait of an insatiable seeker, profound and open to all winds, regions and aesthetics. His sure-footed technique allows him absolute concentration and total absorption in his musical universe.
A guest of prestigious orchestras such as the Mariinsky Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev, the Orchestre National de Bordeaux-Aquitaine conducted by Paul Daniel, the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela (SBYOV) conducted by Christian Vásquez and the Saint-Etienne Opera Orchestra, pianist Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt is welcomed in major concert halls such as the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the Auditorium de Bordeaux, the Salamanca Hall in Japan, the Konzerthaus in Vienna or the Beijing Forbidden City Concert Hall, as well as numerous venues in China.
Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt studied with Bruno Rigutto at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and with Michael Endres at the Hochschule Hanns Eisler in Berlin. He also studied with Yonty Solomon at the Royal College of Music in London and Elisso Virssaladze at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow.
His vast repertoire enables him to offer thematic recitals or several concert series, such as for the Berlioz Festival in 2018, where he performed 5 recitals on the theme of the 5 movements of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique (6 hours of music performed in its entirety from memory).
