Frédérique CAMBRELING
Soloist with the Ensemble intercontemporain from 1993 to 2018, she now devotes her time to her solo activities, to those of the Trio Salzedo (flute, cello and harp) created in 2010, and to recording the many contemporary works she has performed since the beginning of the 21st century, both solo and with her Trio. Teaching is an important part of her life, and Frédérique Cambreling is frequently invited to give masterclasses in Europe, and teaches at the Conservatoire Supérieur de la Seine Saint Denis.
After completing her musical studies in France and winning three major international prizes, Frédérique Cambreling was appointed principal harp with the Orchestre National de France in 1977. She remained with the orchestra until 1986, and it was after leaving that she developed a particular interest in the contemporary repertoire.
Passionate about the diversity of modes of expression associated with her instrument, her eclecticism has enabled her to take part in numerous musical events in France and abroad.
